Insect Engineers is dedicated to advancing the insect sector, with a strong focus on knowledge, technology, and practical application.
Its ambition is to further position the Netherlands as a hub where expertise and technology for insect farming come together. A key step in this direction is the realization of a physical location where partners can collaborate, test, and demonstrate innovations. Within IPPEC, this ambition is explored and further developed jointly.
Insect Engineers takes the lead in this effort and actively invests in the development of this infrastructure. This can range from setting up climate-controlled chambers to developing modular systems for both hardware and software. The goal is to develop and validate solutions at demonstration scale, as a stepping stone toward commercial application.
The experience gained through the Insect School and its partners forms an important foundation. This practical knowledge is applied and further developed within IPPEC in collaboration with other partners.
To drive the sector forward, it is essential to have parties that take initiative and foster connections. Insect Engineers fulfills this role within IPPEC, contributing to the development of a strong and future-proof insect sector in the Netherlands.
