Zwarte soldaatvlieglarven staan bekend om hun vermogen om uiteenlopende reststromen om te zetten in waardevolle nutri\u00ebnten. In de praktijk blijkt echter dat niet iedere reststroom automatisch geschikt is voor grootschalige toepassing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tijdens de uitgevoerde kweekproef zijn verschillende reststromen getest als substraat voor de larven. Daarbij werd duidelijk dat naast nutritionele samenstelling ook factoren zoals beschikbaarheid, structuur en vochtgehalte bepalend zijn voor het succes van de kweek. Zo bleek het vochtgehalte van meerdere substraten gedurende de proef lager dan gewenst, wat effect heeft op de larvengroei. Ook logistieke aspecten, zoals leverbaarheid van reststromen in voldoende volumes, bleken een belangrijke rol te spelen bij de praktische uitvoering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deze ervaringen laten zien dat succesvolle insectenkweek begint bij een zorgvuldige selectie en voorbereiding van reststromen. Niet alleen de theoretische voedingswaarde, maar vooral de verwerkbaarheid en stabiliteit binnen het productieproces bepalen of een reststroom daadwerkelijk kan bijdragen aan effici\u00ebnte eiwitproductie. Een betrouwbare leverancier is minstens zo belangrijk als een goede berekening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De opgedane inzichten helpen om toekomstige proeven gerichter in te richten.
